Age Defense™ facial acupuncture isn’t just about the needles.
In fact that’s only half the story. Using the loveliest creams and serums to offer an invigorating yet relaxing facial massage you’ll feel like you’re walking on air at the end of the session. A facial that makes you feel more revitalised and positive, how fantastic is that?
How does facial acupuncture work?
Facial acupuncture (also known as cosmetic acupuncture, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, facial revitalisation and F.RA) is a natural way of improving your appearance without injecting Botox or fillers. Combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle, facial acupuncture can really make a difference. Ka Hang Leoungk offers two facial acupuncture treatments: Age Defense™ facial acupuncture and Age Defense™ Ultimate.
If the eyes are the window to the soul, then your face is the reflection to your body’s wellness. Your lifestyle and diet play a large part on your health and how you feel inside is often portrayed on the outside. Stress can also affect your looks, how often have you found yourself subconsciously clenching your jaw?
Ka Hang’s signature Age Defense™ facial acupuncture treatment works to:
- Target the areas of concern on your face
- Improve the flow of qi in your body
- Address any imbalance to enhance your sense of wellbeing.
You will find yourself in a much more positive state of mind and feeling more revitalised as the layers of stress and tension melt away. The result is a healthier, calmer you with the skin you deserve.
For ultimate pampering and optimum results, combine it with Age Defense™ facial massage for Age Defense™ Ultimate – two hours of absolute relaxation and rejuvenation.
Ka Hang’s treatments have been seen in Harper’s Bazaar UK, Your Kensington & Chelsea, Stylist and Shortlist. Click here to read the reviews and testimonials.
Does facial acupuncture hurt?
The needles used for facial acupuncture are extremely fine and not at all like the needles used for injections or blood tests. Compared to normal acupuncture needles, they are even thinner.
Some people will feel a very slight tingling or warmth to the face, and this is desirable. However the overall effect of a session of facial acupuncture is very relaxing. Read about a first-timer’s facial acupuncture experience with me here and here.
Imagine the glow from a facial and the relaxed feeling after a massage, and you will start to get an idea of what a session of cosmetic acupuncture feels like!
How long is a facial acupuncture treatment?
Your first appointment will include an initial consultation where we will discuss the areas of concern as well as a full patient history, and then a treatment. Follow up appointments will involve assessing the improvement and progress of treatment followed by a treatment. A typical treatment can last from one hour to 1.5 hours depending on the patient and the area(s) of focus.
How many treatments will I need?
For optimum results, a course of 10 -12 treatments over 2 -3 months is generally recommended. A general rule of thumb is that those in their thirties and forties will require fewer sessions than those over 50. Of course this depends largely on the individual – some clients have facial acupuncture as a preventative basis so they will need less frequent treatments.
Can anyone have facial acupuncture?
Facial acupuncture isn’t suitable for everyone. There are instances where it will be necessary to treat an existing condition first before you should have facial acupuncture. It is advisable that pregnant women wait till after the pregnancy. Contact me for more information.
