19 March 2020

Covent Garden Therapy Rooms will close from tomorrow, 20 March end of business, until further notice. Such surreal times.

Try to minimise your intake of news and social media. Our brains and emotions can only handle so much news, updates, and analysis before anxiety sets in. Read the headlines and updates in the morning, and then once more around 5pm. Any later will not benefit your day’s plan and will affect your sleep.

I’m sorry I will not be here to provide you with acupuncture but try to think of the relaxing moments on my treatment bed before you drifted off. Remember the heaviness of your legs as they sunk into the bed, as if the heavy duvet was laid over them. Remember how relaxing that was as the channels opened and the calmness washed over you.

While we all stay home and practice social distancing, do stay in touch with family and friends. If you can, try to get some fresh air. Take this time to finally do the paper shredding you had been putting off.

Keep well and stay safe. See you all on the other side,

16 March 2020

My clinic remains open until the national advice changes. We are maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in our clinic.

– If you have a new and persistent cough, or if you have a raised temperature (higher than 37.8 C) you will need to stay at home for 7 days.

– If you experience difficulty breathing, have a cough of any kind, or generally feel unwell, please do not come for your acupuncture session.

More information can be found at the Public Health England website. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, call 111. Call 999 if it’s an emergency.

Should I develop any symptoms or become aware that I have been in contact with anyone told to self isolate, I will immediately postpone my appointments and let you know if you’re booked in.

The situation is still very fluid and if you want to talk about anything regarding this or have any questions, please do contact me.

Stay safe, and thank you as ever for your continued support.

3 March 2020

Further to the evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, I would like to assure you all that we are closely monitoring information from Public Health England and other informed sources to see if the UK situation escalates and the potential impact.

While the situation is fluid, and the advice may change, currently we would recommend all of our patients to:

1. Follow the advice from Government:

A) If any individuals have travelled to and/or from the countries of concern:

– China
– Iran
– Korea
– Italy
– Cambodia
– Hong Kong
– Japan
– Laos
– Macau
– Malaysia
– Myanmar
– Singapore
– Taiwan
– Thailand
– Vietnam

B) If you have had any contact with individuals that have travelled to and/or from countries of concern, “self-isolate” as per Government advice.

Please do not come in for your acupuncture appointment, if either of above apply to you and notify us as soon as possible.

2. If you happen to arrive with flu like symptoms, I may wish to decline treatment as a precaution.

We are maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in our clinic, in line with the health and safety legislation.

You can find out more information and guidance on the issue by visiting the Public Health England website.

Thank you for your support and commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community.

See you at the practice soon!

All best
